Lookout Mountain
about//
The Lookout Mountain band takes us on a soulful and captivating journey into the time and place where some of the most iconic and generation-defining music was made and the Laurel Canyon sound was created. It is a place where the muses visited often - where Jackson Browne, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Neil Young, Buffalo Springfield, The Byrds, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, The Mamas & The Papas, Poco, and many others - came together during storied afternoons, surrounded by sunny eucalyptus groves. Their collective talents created an explosion of optimism, unbridled creativity and collaboration.
Just as Lookout Mountain Avenue crosses Laurel Canyon Boulevard, the extraordinarily talented group of musicians in the Lookout Mountain band represent another kind of unique intersection as they have played and interacted with many of the original artists. More than a concert, Lookout Mountain is a living documentary. Together, Kipp Lennon, Kiki Ebsen, Steve Postell, James Raymond, Jeff Pevar, Andrew Ford, and Gary Novak deliver performances infused with authenticity, passion, and reverence for this timeless music.
Adding to the evening's magic, renowned rock photographer Henry Diltz, whose iconic images helped define the look of the era, will present a stunning slideshow before each set, sharing rarely heard stories and unforgettable photographs of the Canyon's legendary scene. Henry was able to capture intimate portraits of his famous friends and neighbors as he lived on Lookout Mountain Drive for over 25 years.
Join us for an immersive night of music, history, and storytelling that celebrates one of the most influential movements in American popular music, with sounds and messages that still resonate today.

Alongside her work as an in-demand collaborator, she’s built a rich solo career, releasing acclaimed albums that showcase her blend of jazz, pop, and singer-songwriter artistry. The daughter of beloved actor Buddy Ebsen, Kiki carries forward a family legacy in the arts while forging her own distinctive musical path.

James Raymond • Keyboards/Vocals
is a pianist, producer, and songwriter best known for his decades-long collaboration with his biological father, the late David Crosby. Together they co-wrote, produced, and toured extensively — from Crosby’s solo projects to Crosby/Nash and Crosby, Stills & Nash — with Raymond shaping the sound as both a musical partner and trusted creative force. Beyond that legacy, he’s established himself as a versatile musician whose work bridges classic artistry with forward-thinking production.

Andrew Ford • Bass
is a bassist whose deep groove and versatility have made him a trusted collaborator for some of music’s most celebrated artists. A longtime member of David Crosby’s touring and recording bands, Ford’s low end anchored Crosby’s later projects with soul and precision. Beyond that, he has brought his signature sound to the stage and studio with legends including Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, and Patrice Rushen, establishing himself as one of the most respected bass players across jazz, pop, and R&B.

Kipp Lennon • Lead Vocals

Also an accomplished LA session singer, Kipp comes from a family of singers and musicians (including older sisters, The Lennon Sisters) and has toured and or recorded with many artists such as David Crosby, Jackson Browne, Roger Waters, Michael Jackson, Ambrosia and many others. He is happy and proud to be a part of this band of great musicians celebrating the legacy of seminal Laurel Canyon artists and songs and vibes that were a beautiful, integral part of the musical tapestry of that unique, golden era.
